Peggy Richard
Peggy has over 20 years of experience working in the legal field and has primarily worked in family law since 2002. Prior to beginning law school in 2015, she worked as a family law paralegal for 12 years. During law school at the University of Oregon School of Law, she was a director of the Child and Family Law Association and a volunteer at the Domestic Violence Clinic. During and immediately after law school, she also clerked for two judges who heard family law cases.
Peggy became licensed by the State Bar of Oregon in 2018 and practiced creditors’ rights law in Oregon for two years, including landlord and tenant law, bankruptcy, collections, and civil litigation.
Although she gained valuable experience practicing in other areas of the law in Oregon, Peggy decided to come back home to Texas to assist families through complicated family law matters. “Throughout my legal career, and no matter what area of the law I was working in, clients and their cases have always mattered to me on a personal level, whether the client was an individual or an entity, but my heart has always been in family law. My goal is to provide clients with high quality, compassionate, uniquely tailored, and affordable advocacy, taking into consideration the special circumstances of each case, as well as my clients’ desired outcomes.”
